A two-day event dedicated to the contribution of sports to the prevention and treatment of addictions is organized on December 10 and 11, 2022 by KETHEA in Athens.

SPORTS, PREVENTION AND ADDICTION TREATMENT 
The two-day event opens with the info day on “Sports, prevention and addiction treatment” on 10/12, in which Greek and foreign experts from the field of addictions, mental health, and sports will speak. The workshop will focus on how scientific evidence can be used to effectively integrate exercise as a complementary prevention and treatment tool, emphasizing its contribution to the cultivation of positive life skills.

RACE4LIFE road race
The following day 11/12 KETHEA invites you to a race for life, a non-professional sports event that aims to promote running or walking as a healthy behavior that can easily be included in everyone’s daily life. The general public and clients of addiction programs will run or walk in whatever time category they choose, 1, 2 or 3 hours, with the aim of covering within the duration they have declared the distance they wish.

The two-day event for sports and drug addiction takes place within the framework of the European project designed and coordinated by KETHEA entitled Reintegration Through Sport Plus/Erasmus + Sport.

The events are organized under the auspices of the General Secretariat of Sports, the Youth Sports Culture Organization of the Municipality of Piraeus, and the University of Thessaly.
